Atlassian co-founder Scott Farquhar, one of the most sought-after entrepreneurs in Australia, will be a featured speaker at this year’s Spark Festival.
In a stunning coup for the festival organisers Farquhar, a folk hero in the fintech sector after Atlassian’s international success, will hold a two-hour seminar called “Ask Me Anything”
It is an ideal chance for start-ups, entrepreneurs and founders, to ask questions of the man who partnered Mike Cannon-Brookes in conquering the technology world with Atlassian, the monolith now valued internationally at $43b.
Farquhar and Cannon-Brookes were named one and two in the Australian Financial Review’s just-released list of the five most influential technology people in the country.
“Atlassian’s two founders remain the beacon of success for Australian business, having built a company that precious few people actually understand but which is now worth more than Telstra,” the AFR said.
As well as his world-wide tech profile Farquhar is also a weighty influence on the local technology scene. He is also prominent in influencing governments to include tech hubs in building plans for growing cities.
Farquhar’s seminar is free to Pledge 1% members. You can join Pledge 1% by going to its website
