The winner of NASA’s space challenge to design 3D printable mobile homes to construct on the moon or Mars has named its 15-foot prototype, “Marsha.”
One can only muse if the Brainiac’s at the New York-based design agency, AI SpaceFactory, had in mind the iconic sibling mantra about her prettier sister in the 1969 TV sitcom blockbuster “The Brady Bunch.”
The team, which beat out 60 other contestants, certainly didn’t complain about taking home $500,000 in prize money.
Kidding aside, the eco-friendly habitat can be built autonomously under hostile planet conditions. It could also be converted into an earthbound habitat — big enough to house a large family.
