It’s a bird. It’s a plane… It’s a Google drone, mate!

The Federal Aviation Administration [FAA] in the US has certified the first drone service to operate as an airline.  Google’s parent, Alphabet’s Wing Aviation, had been doing test runs of their autonomous drones in the US state of Virginia, delivering business packages. Google’s first unmanned drone test flight was in Queensland in August 2014.

Last month Goggle began delivering food and other items to a limited number of homes in Canberra.

But Google won’t be able to spread its Wings and fly everywhere. The FAA doesn’t permit drones to be flown over crowds and urban areas.
